Seven years after its launch as the first job board for the logistics, supply chain, transportation, distribution and manufacturing professions, JobsInLogistics.com continues to dominate this niche field.

For the seventh consecutive year, JobsInLogistics.com has increased annual revenue growth by more than 50 percent. Its resume database now exceeds 200,000 quality candidates with specialized skills and experience in logistics operations.

“JobsInLogistics.com started as an idea in 1999,” said Don Firth, president and co-founder. “Attempting to help a friend in his search for a logistics job, we found that not even Monster.com recognized logistics as a job category. Working with my wife, Eunice, and son, Jake, both of whom had hands-on experience in distribution, we designed the JobsInLogistics.com job board.

As Jake programmed the site from scratch, we were concerned that someone else in the world would think of this idea and beat us to the punch. But they didn’t, and we quickly built our reputation for providing top customer service and for filling jobs with leading logistics talent. We have since expanded our team to include 30 staff members in our customer service and account executive departments.”

More than 17,000 companies have registered to post jobs and search resumes on JobsInLogistics.com.

Each month, JobsInLogistics.com advertises thousands of logistics jobs and attracts more than 250,000 logistics candidates to view these positions.

With a large overlap of the logistics and manufacturing professions, JobsInManufacturing.com was launched three years ago.

This was followed by JobsInTrucks.com, now a leading job board for hiring drivers.

With continued focus on growing these complementary supply chain boards, JobsInLogistics.com is planning to further increase the number of listed jobs and candidate traffic during 2007.

Before launching JobsInLogistics.com, Firth spent 30 years working in the logistics profession, which included positions as an international logistics consultant and president and CEO of a $3 billion food distributor.

He also edited and was principal author of two best-selling books on distribution and logistics.

“We have gained personal satisfaction from creating and building a company from a sliver of an idea into a multimillion-dollar organization,” Firth said. “However, the most rewarding part of JobsInLogistics.com is the knowledge that we are helping thousands of logistics professionals find their dream career opportunities in the profession in which I have devoted my entire working life.

“Logistics careers are both challenging and very rewarding, and being able to help logistics professionals find their ideal jobs is the most powerful motivation for our continued growth and success.”
